De Smet Jesuit alum and current parent Bill Rebholz has been selected as Chairman of the De Smet Jesuit High School Board of Trustees. The board also approved four new trustees at the quarterly meeting.
Rebholz, a 1977 De Smet Jesuit graduate, replaces John Capellupo, who will serve De Smet Jesuit as vice chairman of the board. Rebholz has been a Trustee of De Smet for four years and is a retired Marine lieutenant colonel. He currently is the Executive Director of the Southern Illinois Medical Development Corporation working on business development projects in the medical field. He earned his undergraduate degree from Notre Dame in 1981, his MBA from Washington University in 1990 and an MA in Theology from Aquinas Institute of Theology in 2009.
The Board of Trustees also elected Rev. Daniel Daly, S.J., Executive Assistant to the Provincial of the Missouri Province of the Society of Jesus; alumni parent Robert Poelker, BSI Constructors’ Vice President for Finance/Accounting; alumnus Paul Schnoebelen `73, Managing Director of the Fortune Group and Sr. Barbara Thomas, ASCJ, President of Cor Jesu Academy.
